Dr. Ingo KAISER
Nebrija University
Professor at the Higher Polytechnic School (Escuela Superior Politécnica) of the Universidad Nebrija in Madrid. His work is centred on the computational modelling of the dynamics of railway vehicles with special focus on extending the modelling by integrating the structural dynamics of wheelsets and rails and detailed models of the rolling contact. In 2004, he received the IUTAM (International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics) Bureau prize for a presentation about the running behaviour of an elastic wheelset. He worked on several industrial projects about railway dynamics treating topics like nonlinear analysis methods for wheelset hunting and the dynamic behaviour of variable gauge wheelsets and of wheelsets with composite axles. He acted as a reviewer for the journals “Vehicle System Dynamics” and “Multibody System Dynamics”.
